Female Fertility | Male Fertility | Puberty |
Behavioral | Pregnancy What kinds of questions are 7 th and 8 th graders asking Family Honor about chastity, sexuality, getting along with the opposite sex, etc.? What do parents want to know about these topics and others? We thought you might like a glimpse of what our Family Honor teachers face on a regular basis. After reading the information below, you'll see why we provide professional training to prepare our teachers! During the Fertility Appreciation part of our Real Love & Real Life four-session program for parents with their 7 th or 8 th grade son or daughter, we separate the group into two separate rooms, with moms, girls and Family Honor female teachers in one room and dads, boys and Family Honor male teachers in another room. Using age-appropriate language, and always respecting participants' modesty, we present information on fertility appreciation, the ability to give life, and God's gift of sexuality. As part of this session, the young people and their parents are asked to write down a question -- anonymously -- that they would like our teachers to answer during this segment. As you might imagine, we've answered a LOT of questions from both adolescents and their parents over the last 15 years! What follows is a very brief sampling from our archives:
