Thank you so much for sponsoring the program this past weekend on chastity, which was so capably put on by the Family Honor team. My son was not excited about going, but on Saturday afternoon, on our way home, he could not stop talking about it. I really think he got a lot out of it. That team of parents and high school students really did a wonderful job. And I feel that 7 th and 8 th grade is a good time to really emphasize these Catholic values that society has cast aside. I want to especially thank Fr. Hunt, (who thought so much of it, he was present!) and those donors who made it possible for the Family Honor team to fly down from South Carolina. We are so grateful to all of you who are excited about our work and who are praying for us in this very special ministry. We could never do this without your encouragement and prayers and we give all glory to God for answering so many of those prayers!
Your financial support is critical to the growth of Family Honor as well, especially now that we have emerged as a national organization, with requests coming in from all over the country.
Right now, we still have a fairly small office staff located in Columbia, South Carolina, and only three teaching teams to cover the entire country. (Most of our teachers have other, full time jobs during the day. They give up a lot of their precious free time by presenting our parent-child programs in the evening or on the weekend, and very often use some of their vacation days from work to travel out of state for programs.)
We can't grow without monthly and yearly pledges, church tithes, foundation grants, matching gifts, endowment gifts and bequests.
Please know that when you send your contribution to Family Honor, you are supporting an organization that, for 15 years, has remained unique in the combination of services we are able to offer to Catholic parents, adolescents, pastors, principals, and other individuals and leaders:

 four different age-appropriate programs which focus on chastity as a hopeful, positive virtue;

numerous opportunities to help families reinforce a sense of parent-child connectedness through our requirement that parents or guardians be present at and participate in ALL the program sessions in which their child is registered

a portable, professional faculty of men and women who have successfully completed both our in-house college-credit course, The Principles of Teaching Family Centered Chastity Education and our 100 hour practicum;
-
a Catholic perspective on sexuality and parenting that is grounded in Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body and Familiaris Consortio
-
independent research that shows the effectiveness of Family Honor programs in helping build stronger parent-child relationships;
-
educational resources for parents created by Family Honor and published by, among others, Ignatius Press and Ligouri Publications;
-
Spanish-language book, slides and script for parents and teachers to use in chastity programs.
Over the last 15 years, Family Honor has helped thousands of parents and children better understand and communicate the purpose and meaning of God's gift of sexuality.
Family Honor has a vision and a plan to bring our message to as many people as possible in the United States and beyond over the next few years. We can't do it without your help, though.
