Family Honor's focus is to equip, encourage and empower PARENTS to be the primary educators of their children in discussions relating to sexuality and morality. The feedback we continue to get from parents tells us our parent-child programs do help parents talk to their children. Here are written comments we received from parents in Chattanooga, Tennessee who participated in our Real Love & Real Life program with their 7th or 8th grader a few months ago. They filled out an evaluation form that included the question: What did you like best about the Family Honor program?
- “It opened up opportunities to talk to my child about chastity. It was great to fit all the information into 1 ½ days. The presenters were very knowledgeable, approachable and enthusiastic.”
- “All topics covered were of most interest to me and my child.”
- “Reinforced all the values, concepts we have discussed at home over time. Allowed my daughter to see that her peer's families are like-minded; this gives her additional support from peers during the maturation process. (We have discussed this topic – including the biology – for several years using many different support materials.) Thank you for a well-presented, well thought out program with Scriptural grounding. May your ministry be greatly blessed by Christ!”
- “Thank you for bringing the program to us. What a great way to prepare our child into adulthood and life in general! I highly recommend it to all parents with teenage children. It's well worth it.”
- “The relaxed atmosphere, the wide range of topics covered, the knowledgeable staff and friendly nature of staff, info provided.”
- “The time with my daughter was priceless! Chastity has a whole new meaning for myself and my family!”
- “How interactive, open and honest. The kids really engaged the lessons and had fun.”
- “The opportunity to see ‘community' in action (other parents involvement) – the fact that my son and I will have this to draw from.”
- “The message that Chastity = Freedom.”
- “The opportunity for one-on-one with my daughter.”
- “Bonding with my child.”
- “Very helpful. Makes it easier to discuss hard subjects with our children.”
- “The emphasis on the theology of the body.”
- “A forum to talk about with son. The fertility slides were awesome.”
- “Informative in a positive atmosphere – explained chastity & the virtue of this – made valuable (desirable) to child.”
