“It is within the family that healing of the world can happen”
Family Honor Chairman of the Board J Seth has announced that Mrs. Rebecca Bain of Atlanta, Georgia has joined the Family Honor Board of Directors.
“It is with great delight that we welcome Becky to the Family Honor Board. Her passion for our mission and her commitment to help spread the word about our family-centered work has been an encouragement to all of us at Family Honor. We know she will be a great asset as we expand our programs for families in Atlanta and other states.”
Becky is enthusiastic about her new role with Family Honor, stating “A few months ago, I could not have imagined my excitement today for something I had only been briefly exposed to years ago at the NRTL [National Right to Life] convention in Charlotte, NC. After observing [the Family Honor program] Real Love & Real Life at St. Peter Chanel Church … I am convicted that this program catechizes parents and uniquely brings the saving messages of Theology of the Body to them in a way that no other ministry has done. Empowering parents to embrace and teach the Theology of the Body to their children is a dire responsibility for our church.”
Becky, who is a native of the Chicago, IL area, has lived in Atlanta for the past 18 years. She has been married to her husband, Nick, for 35 years and they are the parents of five adult children. She has been a volunteer for a number of pro life and Church-related efforts for over 28 years, including many marriage and family ministries, CCD, Eucharistic ministry, and, most recently, as a board member for A Beacon of Hope Crisis Pregnancy Center.
“I believe that the health of a society rests on the health of its families,” Becky commented. “Since the family is the primary laboratory of love, it is truly within the family that healing of the world can happen.”
