  Family Honor Hires Development Associate

Family Honor is happy to announce that Mary Worthington has joined our staff in the new position of Development Associate. She will begin working for Family Honor on June 28.

Mary is enthusiastic about her new role, stating, “I was attracted to work for Family Honor because I am convicted that the best place for children to grow in the virtues of chastity and purity is within the family, and Family Honor makes that tough task for parents more accessible.”

Regarding her role of fund development for our organization, Mary said: “I hope to build our donor base and income in order to accomplish much good work for families throughout the United States. Since I’m a novice at this work, I recognize that it has been given to me by the Lord, and I trust in Him to bring this work to success.”

A 2004 graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville with a B.A. in Theology and a Minor in Human Life Studies, Mary has previously worked in a variety of pro life and pro family organizations, including Priests for Life and Generation Life. At Generation Life she served as a Chastity Educator and High School Outreach Coordinator, speaking to 8-12th grade students on pro life and chastity issues, working with high school administrators and teachers, planning retreats, writing a quarterly newsletter and maintaining the web site for the organization.

In her role as Development Associate, Mary will work with Family Honor staff, board, volunteers and consultants to develop, communicate and implement a plan for funding the growth and expansion of our organization in order to serve more families in the U.S. and beyond.

Mary realizes that she faces a huge task and that the goals are daunting, but she indicates that “My passion for the success of the pro-life cause encourages me as we work together to build the ‘culture of life.”
