Develops, communicates and implements a plan for Family Honor that will help us achieve our financial goals through creation of a board and leadership culture of fund development and the practices to match. This is a new, full time position.
This unique opportunity is perfect for a professional who would be enthusiastic about working in an environment that promotes pro life, pro family ethics and where the programs and training reflect traditional Catholic teaching in the areas of sexuality, marriage, love and family.
Executive Director. Provides regular analysis, feedback, reports and recommendations to E.D. on the status of fund development efforts; collaborates with E.D. in donor cultivation and solicitation, including ongoing cultivation of current major donor prospects. Identifies potential new donors.
- Annually develops, communicates and implements a Development Plan for Family Honor that may include a Capital Campaign, Planned Gift Program and Special Event Strategy.
- Provides expert input to Fund Development Committee.
- Assists individual board members with fund development efforts, as needed.
- Collaborates with IT Manager to shape electronic support material for fund development efforts.
- Develops annual budget for Family Honor fund development efforts.
Education: B.A. or B.S. degree
- Minimum 3-5 years in fund development
- Successful track record in obtaining major gifts of $25,000 +
- Experience in philanthropic leadership, including Capital Campaign or Planned Gifts Program
- Ability to facilitate cash gifts, stock donations, bequests & more;
- Ability to initiate and implement appropriate donor management policies and procedures
- Experience w/ budget development; has an understanding of financial planning;
- Experience in supervising support personnel;
- Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure;
- Can passionately support Family Honor’s philosophy of family-centered chastity education;
- Understands and endorses traditional Catholic teaching in the areas of sexuality, marriage and family;
- Organized, with excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Highly self-motivated; takes appropriate initiative;
- Enjoys working with people and can function well as part of a team;
- Balanced personality, good sense of humor;
- Willingness to work flexible hours and to travel regularly, both in and outside of SC;
